... In our landscape work the plant beds are prepped and the bed lines are established. These bed lines can be left natural or can be enhanced with different types of edging. Those types can be black vinyl, aluminum, brick, concrete or any suitable material that will separate the plantings from the lawn. When doing remodel work we always remove weeds, brush, roots and any construction debris. Any French drains or downspout drains with emitters are then installed. ... Hardscapes are used quite often including retaining walls, decks, patios or walking paths. They can be made out of pavers, stone, concrete, lumber or any “hard” material. Next comes the plants and they consist of shrubs, trees, annuals and perennials. The shrubs and trees can be evergreen or deciduous and range from azaleas to lantanas or oaks to crape myrtles. The mulch is installed using pine straw, pine bark, river rock, red cypress, gold cypress, marble chips or others. ... Usually the last thing installed is sod. Common varieties are St. Augustine, centipede, Bermuda and zoysia. This is the crowning glory and brings so many smiles on our customer’s faces.
